Symptom:
You are experiencing issues with Torsion logging audit data and suspect that audit logging may be turned off.
Cause:
Torsion relies on audit logging to capture and record user and admin activities in Microsoft 365. If audit logging is turned off, Torsion will not be able to log any audit data.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, you need to turn on audit logging in Microsoft 365. Follow these steps to turn on audit logging:
Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center with your administrator account.
Navigate to the Security & Compliance Center.
Click on "Search & investigation" in the left-hand menu, and then select "Audit log search".
Click on "Start recording user and admin activities" to turn on audit logging.
Select the activities that you want to log by choosing the appropriate options under "Activities".
Select the date range for which you want to view the audit logs under "Date and time range".
Click on "Search" to view the audit logs for the selected activities and date range.
Once audit logging is turned on, Torsion will be able to capture and log audit data. Make sure to regularly review and analyze your audit logs to identify any suspicious or anomalous activity in your Microsoft 365 environment. This can help you detect and prevent security incidents and data breaches.
